Support Emily's Family: Rebuild and Recover

As of right now, they said she coded and we prematurely thought they couldn’t bring her back. But she was resuscitated, shes getting a pacemaker and she’s will need dyalisis.

My name is Emily. On June 24, 2025, my parents' house caught on fire and they lost everything.

My mom, who is fully disabled and has no use of her legs, was trapped inside while the fire spread through their living room. She had no way to escape. She could only wait on the phone with 911, praying help would come in time. She is now in the burn unit with third-degree burns over 30% of her body, and will be hospitalized for weeks to come.

My dad, her devoted husband of 30 years, was out doing laundry — part of his daily routine caring for her. He knows exactly how many times a day she needs to be lifted and cared for. They are truly each other’s world.

The Red Cross has kindly helped with a hotel for a week, but when she’s discharged, there will be no home to return to. No wheelchair-accessible home. No bed. No clothes. No supplies. Everything is gone.

They would never ask for money — in fact, they’ve always been the first to give their last $5 to someone else in need. But today, they need help.
