My name is Sarah Sakaris and I am trying to raise funds for my little sister, Emily. A few years ago, Emily was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and Lupus. Along with these complications, she had to begin dialysis due to kidney issues. Shortly after all of this devastating news, she received another diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis. Just recently, two other diagnoses were added to her plate: Microscopic Polyangiitis and Arthritis. Due to the advanced stage of the MPA and rapid progression combined with her other diagnoses, Emily will need chemotherapy, starting immediately, to increase her chances of increasing her prognosis. Emily is unable to work due to her body rapidly shutting down and relies on extremely expensive treatments (even with insurance) to keep her from having further, potentially life-threatening, complications. Her life is lived in and out of hospital stays and multiple appointments per week. I am trying to raise funds to help pay for her medical treatments as they become more complex and expensive so that we can help her continue to get the care and medication she needs to keep her body from shutting down. These funds will also help us start the care she needs immediately while waiting for insurance to step in and help. Thank you so much for your support.
