Hi, my name is Atlanta Beeby, I am fundraising on behalf of Emily Esden and her family.
On 4th October, whilst her, her partner and her young daughter were in bed sleeping, the blaze began when an electric scooter that was plugged in unexpectedly exploded, sparking a rapid electrical fire that engulfed their home completely. What started in the living room then spread rapidly throughout the entire house. Tragically, nothing could be salvaged — their house, furniture, clothing, keepsakes, and all their belongings are entirely gone. The extent of the damage means that emily and her family are now placed in temporary accomodation until further notice.
To make this even more heartbreaking, Emily is expecting her second child this coming January, and every single item she had prepared for the new baby has been destroyed too. She is now forced to restart her life from scratch. What should of been a time of resting, nesting and preparing for her little one was all taken away in one evening.
This fundraiser will go directly towards rebuilding their home, securing safe housing, replacing essential belongings, covering daily living costs, and preparing for their new arrival with peace of mind.
There is an enormous road ahead of them, and we know a fundraiser cannot undo what happened. But if it can take even a small amount of the financial pressure away and help them begin rebuilding their home and their lives, it would mean more to us than words can express.
We completely understand that times are difficult for everyone. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. If you aren’t in a position to donate, simply sharing their story would mean just as much.
Above everything else, we are incredibly grateful that they all made it out safely.
Their home can eventually be rebuilt. Possessions can eventually be replaced. We’re just incredibly grateful that the people inside it are still here.
