Support Emily Teed's Life-Saving Liver Transplant

My name is Annette Rowe and I have created this GoFundMe for my daughter, Emily Teed. Emily is only 37 years old and has been plagued with medical complications that have her now in need of a liver transplant. 

Two years ago Emily's gallbladder was removed and her health has continuously declined since. She acquired infections in her liver, kidneys, spinal fluid and heart. Emily was being medically treated, but her health was still failing. Fortunately, a wonderful doctor realized Emily needed specialized care and had her transported to the University of Penn State Hospital in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, Emily was still not out of the woods - She had several medical setbacks and was unresponsive for a whole week at one point. Thanks to the skilled staff at UPSH Emily is now responsive and her health is improving. She is currently in their ICU waiting for a liver transplant, but the stress from financial burdens are affecting her.

Our family was able to keep up with Emily’s bills in the beginning, but due to the severity of her circumstances the debt has become overwhelming. Emily is a private contractor with health insurance and if her bills are not paid it will complicate/prolong getting a liver transplant. Even after her possible transplant she will still have physical and financial hurdles. Emily will have recovery, rehab and home care supervision is advised for a period of time. She will not be able to work until a full recovery is complete and the duration for that is unknown.
