Support Emily Portwine's Medical Recovery

Hi! My name is Tracey and I am raising funds for my daughter-in-law, Emily Portwine, for her medical expenses she is incurring from a recent hospitalization.

Emily was born with an undetected heart condition. Medications for the treatment of other conditions essentially "triggered" the latent condition, and it is now irreversible. In order for Emily to live a healthy life and be with us much longer, she has had a combination pacemaker/defibrillator placed. She has spent quite a bit of time in the ICU of the hospital prior to and following her surgery. Prior to this hospitalization, she did also require an ambulance trip to the ER that insurance did not cover. She will likely have to be out of work for a while (two weeks minimum post surgery) most of which will be without pay. The medical bills are mounting and any help would be greatly appreciated.
