Honor Emily and Her Courageous Battle

Donation protected
The reason for our silence the last few months was out of respect for Emily, her journey is now complete.

On September 15th at 6pm our beautiful Gem passed from this earth. She died at home as was her wish, with her grieving family present. At the time of death Emily felt no pain and slipped quietly away with her husband and sister by her side, her devoted family gathered in her lovely home.

Although our pain is deep, we are grateful her suffering has ended. The last few months brought many physical and emotional challenges for all of us, but mostly for our Brave and Noble Em. We want you to know her courage and bravery was with her to the end, she never gave up her dignity and grace, and she was so incredibly strong.

To be sure, the word strong does not even come close to what we all witnessed in Emily. She was, and is, a shining star whose light burned so bright it was determined never to go out. And indeed now, it never will, her light is shining down on all of us from above and cannot be dimmed.

We all can be grateful and honor Emily by giving thanks for the many lessons she taught us. The growth she, and those she touched, was profound. My daughter was, and will, continue to be my teacher, allowing me to grow in love and Spirit.

And Emily? Her growth on this journey came from within, her ability to own her power and find her authentic agency was all part of her path. The cancer oddly gave Emily her personal power, and most certainly showcased her infinite strength.

Emily's family wants you to know she fought to the very last breath, yet was ready and able to move on with the same beauty and elegance she brought to everything she touched. She tackled her diagnosis fiercely and did it her way, making hard decisions and endless sacrifices with ruthless conviction and audacious nerve.

If you were lucky enough to be touched by Emily's love you know, her ability to make you feel comfortable, seen, and truly heard was all a part of her magic. Emily allowed others to be themselves and feel really good about it. She brought ease and kindness, a sweet mix of pure goodness and steely resolve with a dash of quirky. Emily's physical beauty never left her, her radiance glowing through the cruel trials of her disease.

Once the details are in place we will communicate the when and where of her life's celebration. Looking to honor her amongst the flowers within the next few weeks.

Please know your support and love can be felt through our broken hearts. We want you to please remember her strength, her courage, her beauty but mostly her love.

Peace,
Emily's family
