We have started this page to help my dear sister, Emily Cagen, with her rising medical bills. Several months ago, Emily advocated for herself to have some imaging done after dealing with painful symptoms for years. The imaging revealed that she has two non-cancerous tumors, called meningiomas, on her brain. She has had many visits with various specialists and is about to start receiving treatment for these tumors to keep them from getting bigger. They cannot operate and remove them because of the location, it would be too dangerous. As you might imagine, all of these visits with specialists and the upcoming several weeks of radiation treatment is very expensive, so we are asking our friends and loved ones to help relieve the burden of this financial implication so that she can focus on healing. We know that Emily will get through this, though there are still some scary weeks ahead. If you cannot help out financially, thoughts and kind messages will also be a great help.
