Support Emily and Hunter's Flood Recovery

On Sunday night July 6, 2025 Emily and Hunter, along with their cats Nala and Marvin escaped flash flooding in their Chapel Hill home. Within 11 minutes, the water had risen to 3 feet high and Emily's car had already been submerged. They were able to get to higher ground and to safety while carrying their cats through water, chest deep high. Emily's Mom picked them up and they stayed at her house for the night. The next day when they returned to the house to assess the damage, the devastation was unimaginable. 99% of Emily's things are unsalvageable. Furniture, appliances, clothes, shoes, blankets, housewares, etc., destroyed. Both Hunter and Emily's cars are a total loss.

Although prayers have been answered and they are safe, we want to reach out and help them as well as Emily's Mom, Kristen, meet the physical needs to replace and recover those items lost and expenses that come with the devastation that the flood left behind anyway we can now, and in the days to come.

Emily and Hunter are hardworking, generous, selfless always putting others first.
We want to put our faith into action and help them through this difficult time.
