Hello everyone!! As you may know, our dear friend Emily is pregnant with baby boy Braxton Lee and due in December. Unfortunately at the 20 week mark, Emily and Austin found out that Mom's body does not make amniotic fluid and baby boy's kidneys have cysts. What does that mean? 1. Without fluid, Braxton cannot practice breathing while in Mommy's belly. and 2. With failed kidneys, dialysis will be required until he is big enough to undergo a kidney transplant. There is not much medical history on baby boy's condition, only failed trials called RAFT.

Currently, Emily is required to travel to Barnes in St. Louis a minimum of twice a week to inject fluid into the placenta since Braxton depletes it rather quickly while trying to grow, and it's necessary for him to learn to breathe.

Upon birth, Braxton will need to be at Barnes in St.Louis for no less than 6 months in the NICU. As we know, Emily and Austin reside and work 2 hours from Barnes.

The money raised will go directly toward travel, lodging, food costs and anything Mom, Dad and baby boy may need while making sure Mom is able to be with baby boy during his time at Barnes. It will also cover additional medical bills and procedures that will be necessary for survival.
