For those who do not know, I (Mark) was hit head on by an intoxicated driver on June 30th, 2024. I will be in the hospital receiving surgeries and recovering for a while. I'm not asking that you help me, I'm asking that you help my fiance, Emily. For nearly the past decade she has been the caregiver for her entire family. Beginning in 2016 for myself when I had an aortic dissection and for her father who unfortunately eventually lost his battle with liver cancer. She also became the caregiver to her mother when she was diagnosed with kidney failure, had three cardiac arrests and a stroke, and also eventually passed away due to complications with COVID. Through all of this, Emily has been the sole provider for the family, and has had to make sacrifices to be able to give everyone the best care possible. She was stressed about finances before my car accident occurred, and I know she is even more stressed now. Having a major medical issue is not just expensive for the person it happens to, it is also extremely expensive for the caregiver.

If you know Emily, you know she would do anything for anyone. I am stuck immobile and can't be there to help her. I'm just hoping that taking some of the financial stress off of her will give her some peace of mind to be able to deal with all the other things that are to come.
