Support Emilio's Recovery After Firework Accident

Good morning, friends and family! On July fourth, Emilio was in a firework accident in Ocean Shores at 11:30 pm. During this trip, he was with his girlfriend Kira and one of her close friends, Adria, celebrating the weekend, which was supposed to be fun but turned into the most traumatizing event Kira has ever seen before after a zipper cake firework malfunction and blew up hitting Emilio in the face.

Emilio was sent to Aberdeen Hospital on July fourth, where he was shortly airlifted to Harborview Medical Center into the trauma unit on July fifth at 3:00 am. During his time at Harborview, we met with multiple specialists such as facial reconstruction, the burn team, wound care, and an ophthalmologist.

During these events at both hospitals, Emilio has been fully aware and alert, talking and making jokes with anyone coming in and out of the room.

He was shortly discharge from Harborview on July six early in the morning at 12:00am.

hyphema of left eye

commotio retinae of left eye

abrasion of left cornea

abrasion of right cornea

burn to face (unspecified burn degree)

open fracture of nasal bone

Since Discharge we will be meeting with each specialist all week and continuing around the clock care. Kira has taken a non paid time off due to the accident and is unsure when she will be returning to work. The help from you guys will go towards medical bills from each hospital and follow up medical appointments as well as medical supplies.
