Hi, my name is Emilio Gomez, and I’ve qualified to compete at the Nike Outdoor National Championships in Eugene, Oregon from June 17th through June 21st!

I’m in 8th grade and have the incredible opportunity to compete in the middle school division in both the 800-meter and 1-mile races. Running is something I’ve grown to love, and making it to this national meet feels like a dream come true.

This is one of the biggest track meets in the country, and it brings together some of the fastest middle school runners from across the U.S. I’m training hard to give it my best and can’t wait to be on the starting line with so many talented athletes.

What makes this event even more special is that the meet takes place at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus, one of the most legendary track and field stadiums in the world. It’s where the U.S. Olympic Trials and other major championships are held. Just getting the chance to step onto that track is an honor.

To make this trip possible, my family and I are asking for help to cover the costs of travel and competition. We’re trying to raise $3,142 to cover:
