Help Emilie Bezler Fight Her Toughest Battle Yet

Hi, my name is Lauren Bezler, and I’m writing this on behalf of my amazing little sister, Emilie.

Just a few days ago, our world was completely turned upside down. Emilie, who is only 25 years old, suffered an unexpected seizure and was rushed by ambulance to Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Later that evening, she was transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, where an MRI revealed a large tumor on the left frontal lobe of her brain — located between her left eye and left ear.

On Tuesday, April 15th, Emilie will undergo a biopsy and a full craniotomy, where part of her skull will be removed so doctors can remove as much of the tumor as possible. Following surgery, she will face a long and uncertain road to recovery, which may include radiation and/or chemotherapy depending on the biopsy results.

On top of facing this terrifying diagnosis, Emilie will be unable to work for an indefinite amount of time and won’t be able to drive for at least six months, possibly longer. She’s incredibly concerned about her ability to cover her living expenses, including her rent and car payments — and with her health insurance based in California while her treatment is in Missouri, her medical bills are expected to be astronomical.

For those who know Emilie, you know how talented, determined, and full of life she is. At just 18, she moved to Los Angeles to chase her dream of becoming a professional dancer — a dream she made real through sheer hard work. Over the years, she’s danced in movies like Cheaper by the Dozen 3 and He’s All That, performed at the Grammy Awards, appeared on Nickelodeon’s Drama Club, and shared the stage with artists like Toni Braxton, among many other achievements.

Emilie has never let anything stand in the way of her dreams, and even now, she’s fighting to hold onto her future with the same strength and determination. But she can’t do this alone.

Emilie is so much more than a patient. She’s a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a fighter. She is one of five siblings with her twin sister Anna, me (her older sister), and two younger brothers, Jack (16) and Sam (12). Our parents, Steve and Stephanie Bezler, along with all of us, are doing everything we can to hold her up through this difficult time. This is truly a nightmare for all of us.

Any donation — no matter the size — will help ease the financial burden so she can focus fully on her recovery and the fight ahead. Your support will help cover her medical bills, living expenses, and give her the peace of mind she needs during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for standing by Emilie, for your love, your prayers, and your kindness. Our family is so deeply grateful.

With love,
Lauren Bezler & Family
