Support Emery's Recovery from Emergency Surgery

Hi fam - Ashley here with a crazy story for you.
On Saturday, my brother Kevin and his wife Emery drove three hours to Brooklyn to see a band they love (Nekrogoblikon) & have been looking forward to seeing for months. I remember Emery excitedly telling me about it on Christmas! They got a hotel within walking distance to the venue as most dream of doing when traveling to a new city for some kind of show, and they had an amazing time! Lots of moshing, lots of laughing, lots of memories made.
But in the morning when they were leaving the hotel, Emery tripped and badly injured herself. As a fellow clumsy human, I recognize this fall: completely accidental, almost hilarious, but completely devastating. The difference between Emery and myself, however, is that her fall was much more serious than anything I have personally encountered. After an excruciating three hour drive back to Lancaster County, Emery arrived and urgent care only to be told that her ankle was absolutely going to need to be reset, and she was promptly put inside of an ambulance and transported to the nearest hospital.
It was at the hospital that she learned that not only was her ankle in need of resetting, but it was also broken in three places. She ended up needing a four hour surgery that placed four screws on the inside of her ankle and seven screws on the outside.
Needless to say: the road ahead is going to be a tough one. Between medical equipment needed to make her more comfortable, future rehabilitation appointments, an impending emergency room and surgery bill, and time off from work to heal from the major trauma done to her body over such a short period of time - the Bakers need some help. Your donation would go toward those things: a leg scooter for Emery to be mobile and heal more comfortably, help toward incoming medical bills from the hospital and future appointments, and most importantly: time for Emery to take off from work to properly heal from this injury.
If you're not able to give, please know that it is completely understandable! These are hard times out here! If that is the case, however, I ask that you please share. Kevin, Emery, and Norah aren't just family to me - they're three of the most important people in my world. They are deserving of rest in every way, but especially after such a life-altering event.
Updates incoming. Stay tuned!
