Support Emelia’s Endometriosis Surgery
We are raising funds for excision surgery for our daughter, Emelia, who has had a 15-year journey with what has been diagnosed as endometriosis and possible adenomyosis.
For those who may not know, endometriosis is a condition that can cause painful symptoms that can impact not only your menstrual cycle but also your daily life. For Emelia, it has meant severe, debilitating monthly pain, missed work, and many times where everyday tasks can feel impossible to accomplish. Working full time has not been possible for her which has made getting insurance unattainable.
Despite trying multiple treatments- both holistic and Western medicine- her symptoms have continued to worsen over time. After consultations with her doctors, we’ve been told that excision surgery is the best next step to help relieve her pain and improve her quality of life- for which she is desperate.
She recently consulted with a gynecological surgeon in Dallas who comes highly recommended and specializes in excision surgery, the gold standard for endometriosis treatment.
The cost of this surgery is more than we can manage on our own and is a step of faith for our family. We need to raise $27,000 to cover the surgery costs. The full amount needs to be paid upfront before surgery can be done. We are hoping to schedule her surgery for June.
We thank you for taking the time to read this part of Emelia’s story and for prayerfully considering financially supporting her on her journey to healing. We’re so grateful for those standing with us in this vital next step.
