Support Ember Bagron’s Fight for Recovery
Donation protected
On October 29th, my niece Ember was medevaced from the PICU at Providence in Anchorage to Seattle Children’s Hospital. A week before being medevaced, Ember was admitted to the hospital with RSV and pneumonia. As her condition worsened, they realized that she needed more advanced care than they could offer her at Providence. Ember was put on a flight and met by an ambulance that took her directly to the hospital where she was sedated and intubated. The doctors have recently diagnosed her with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Ember is now fighting for her life as her lungs are not responding to treatment. She will be undergoing a risky procedure called ECMO, that acts as an artificial lung to help oxygenate her blood, as her lungs are unable to do so at this time.
Her father, Billy, flew down to be with her immediately following her evac. Doctors have estimated that they will need to remain in Seattle for at minimum of a month. As you can image, this means that Billy is unable to work while he attends to Ember’s needs. We are asking for any help that you can provide to offset the financial burden and emotional stress of Ember’s current situation. All funds will be used for medical costs and living expenses while Billy stays by his daughter’s side.
If you are unable to make a financial contribution, please consider sharing this link, sending your love, prayers and positive vibes to Billy in this very difficult time.
Ember and Billy need all the support and love they can get right now. Thank you!
