Support Elvira Bobbio's Family

Elvira Ugaz-Bobbio beloved mother of the Bobbio family went to heaven on the morning of June 22nd, 2020 from the prolonged traumatic effects of cardiac arrest. (Pictured Above Left to Right: Fernando Bobbio, Bonita Bobbio, Elvira Bobbio, Elizabeth Bobbio, and Fernando Bobbio Jr.)

My Grandmother, Elvira, who I've known as Mama Vira was always a source of warmth from the comforting delicious food she cooked, to the kind and thoughtful gifts she gave to all of us throughout our lives growing up. I have learned so much from being raised by someone who was so full of love. She immigrated to the United States from Peru in 1970 and lived in Brooklyn for the remainder of her life to raise her family and start a new life. Elvira was also an active supporter of the Peruvian community throughout the New York Metropolitan area, if you owned a Peruvian restaurant there's a great chance she might have passed through. She also sent care packages to those in need in Peru. Additionally, she was a devoted member of the Catholic Church where she frequented Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sunset Park.

The Bobbio family is in need of support in order to cover the expenses of her memorial and funeral services. The estimated fees for the cost of memorial services will be around $6,000. Her funeral service will be in the coming weeks but any amount that you can donate would be greatly appreciated and will count towards preserving her memory for the Bobbio family.

We want to thank all who have supported us and will continue to support us throughout this time of grief.

Mi abuela, Elvira, a quien he conocido como Mama Vira, siempre fue una fuente de carino, desde la tantas deliciosas comidas que cocinó hasta los amables y los muchos regalos que nos dio a todos a lo largo de nuestras vidas. He aprendido mucho de haber sido criado por alguien tan lleno de amor. Emigró a los Estados Unidos desde Perú en 1970 y ha vivido en Brooklyn por el resto de su vida para criar a su familia y comenzar una nueva vida. Elvira también fue un activo defensor de la comunidad peruana en el área metropolitana de Nueva York, si usted fuera dueño de un restaurante peruano, hay una gran posibilidad de que ella haya pasado. También envió paquetes de caridad a los necesitados en Perú. Además, era una miembro devota de la iglesia católica donde frecuentaba Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro en Sunset Park.

La familia Bobbio necesita apoyo para cubrir los gastos de sus servicios funerarios. Las tarifas estimadas para el costo de los servicios conmemorativos serán de alrededor de $ 6,000.
