My mother, Eloise, has always been a beacon of light for our family of six. She and my father were together for over 58 years, raising four boys and providing us with love, stability, and opportunities, even when times were tough. Despite losing her second son to a tragic accident, she kept our hope alive and continued to support us in every way she could. I personally wanted to go to film school, and thanks to her encouragement, I was able to pursue my passion. Today, I love what I do, and I owe so much of that to my parents' unwavering support.
Last year, after my father passed away from kidney failure, my mother's health took a drastic turn for the worse. She suffered her first fall just four months after his passing, and although she was determined to remain independent, her condition continued to decline. One day, we found her on the floor in her bedroom, and since then, she has been bedridden, struggling with dementia and ongoing infections. The cost of providing her with the care and medicine she needs has become more than our family can handle. My brother and I are doing everything we can, but our resources are stretched thin, and we want to ensure she receives the best care possible.
The funds raised will go towards getting her additional in-home assistance, transportation to doctor visits, paying for antibiotics to help her fight infections, and disposables needed for her hygiene. My mother has always put her family and others first, even through her own hardships. I wish I could do more for her, but we need help. Any support you can offer would mean the world to us and help give her the care she truly deserves. Thank you for reading our story and for any help you can give.
