My name is Christina McLean, and I am setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of my mother, Eloise Walker, who is currently hospitalized at Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital in Jamaica. My mom is fighting for her life. She has been diagnosed with severe fibroids, ovarian cancer, and cancer that has spread to her liver. She is also battling a serious lung infection and is on oxygen, unable to speak for herself at this time. She has been a single mother her entire life, working hard every day to provide for her daughters. Many people in the community know her from the Savanna-la-Mar Bus Park, where she has sold to so many over the years. She has always been kind, hardworking, and supportive to everyone she met. I am one of her two daughters. My younger sister is still in high school and has had to stop attending school so she can help me stay by our mother’s side in the hospital. We have no other family in the area—it is just the two of us caring for her during this critical time. The medical costs for her care, medications, oxygen support, tests, and hospital bills are far more than we can afford. We are asking for help from everyone who knows her, and even those who don’t, to help us during this emergency.
