Elner is a loving and caring husband, son, brother, and uncle who has always put his family first. Earlier this year, our lives changed when he began experiencing flu-like symptoms and fatigue. After a series of tests, he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer, in late January 2025. Since February, Elner has undergone several rounds of intensive chemotherapy and blood transfusions. The first two treatments were unsuccessful, but after his third round, he was finally making progress. His doctors have determined that his best chance at long-term survival is a bone marrow transplant. Luckily, one of his brothers is a full match and will be the donor! This is a major, life-saving procedure, but it comes with overwhelming emotional, physical, and financial challenges.

While we are grateful to have a medical team working tirelessly to help Elner beat this, the cost of treatment, hospital stays, medications, transplant-related expenses, and time away from work is staggering. On top of that, the recovery process from a bone marrow transplant is long and demanding, including 24/7 care at home, ongoing monitoring, immunosuppressive therapy, and staying within 30 minutes of the hospital. We are reaching out for support to help cover these essential costs and ensure Elner receives the care he needs to recover.

Elner is passionate about technology, computers, and video games. His positive spirit and love for his family have always been a source of strength for us.
