Last Friday, July 4th, we found out that my dad has liver cancer. He has been hospitalized since June 23rd, when he was admitted with pneumonia and the flu, and since then, the prognosis has gotten more challenging. As you may know, my dad had a double lung transplant in 2017, and he has already begun this fight with chemotherapy this week. I am fundraising on my family’s behalf to help them through his time away from work and further treatment and assistance he will need through this fight.

El viernes pasado, 4 de julio, nos enteramos de que mi padre tiene cáncer de hígado. Fue hospitalizado el 23 de junio, ingresando con neumonía y gripe, y desde entonces el pronóstico se ha vuelto más difícil. Como por ahí ya saben, mi padre recibió un trasplante de pulmón doble en 2017 y esta semana ya ha comenzado su lucha contra el cáncer con quimioterapia. Estoy recaudando fondos en nombre de mi familia para ayudarles durante su ausencia laboral y para el tratamiento y la asistencia que necesitará en esta lucha.
