This fundraiser is to help the Monaco family recover from a tragic accident.
On 5/15/2026, Elma and her 8-year-old daughter Aria were in a serious crash that left them both with severe injuries.
Elma and Aria were just a few minutes from home in King City, OR. They were stopped on Hazelbrook Rd waiting to turn onto Highway 99. Suddenly, a vehicle flew off Hwy 99 and struck the driver side of their car at full speed. Aria was removed from the vehicle by bystanders, but Elma was trapped and had to be cut out by firefighters. Both were rushed to the hospital.
Aria suffered a completely broken humerus bone in her upper right arm. The break is very severe and will require a long recovery.
Elma suffered many broken bones—her left femur, tibia, fibula, and pelvis were all completely broken. She has already undergone four surgeries since the accident. It will be quite some time before Elma can attempt to walk, and she faces a very long road to recovery.
Unfortunately, the driver responsible did not have a valid license or insurance, and we are now facing a mountain of medical bills and personal expenses that will not be covered. The funds raised will go directly toward paying for Elma and Aria’s medical care, covering personal expenses related to their recovery, and helping us manage the loss of income during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping our family get back on our feet.
