My wife and I are friends of Marla Parial, and her daughter Elli. For the past three years we have been following Elli's cancer journey. In December 2022, at the age of 12, Elli was diagnosed with Leukemia.

Just last year at this time Marla asked for prayers to ask God to carry Elli through a very difficult period in her treatment schedule. Her life was hanging on by a slim margin. But Marla and Elli did not give up hope.

This weekend, at our annual automotive conference, we have learned (and celebrated) that after three years of intense treatment, two high replacements, and upcoming shoulder replacement surgery, Elli is in remissions.

We thank everyone who prayed for Elli and her parents.

Today, I wanted to bless this young fighter and let her know that people care about her and her journey has inspired them. Elli always remained positive throughout her treatments and Marla was just amazed at her faith and perseverance.

This month, after missing so much school Elli was able to go to her homecoming at school. What a miracle. Even though she missed so much school, she is getting straight A grades!

This GoFundMe campaign is to surprise her with money to be used to catch up on life, splurge on somethings she always wanted, and to save up for her first car. At age 15, all kids start dreaming of driving independently.

I believe your unexpected generosity would leave a lasting mark on this young, future leader. The automotive retail community celebrates her recovery steps and notes just how much Marla has given to be with her daughter.

Another praise report is Marla has now been hired full-time by Lithia Motors, the largest automotive dealer group in the USA, which is also an answer to prayer. It is my hope that 2026 will be a year of more cheer and less hospital visits for the Parial family.
