Yesterday at 1:30pm, life changed in an instant for Elliott McCann and his family. While riding his bike on Babcock, Elliott was struck by a distracted driver—run over, and then tragically backed over again. What should have been an ordinary afternoon became a fight for life. But even in the chaos, God was present. Elliott suffered severe injuries: five broken ribs, a broken collarbone, pulmonary contusions, and multiple lacerations—including serious trauma to his lung that doctors are closely monitoring in the ICU. His head bears deep road injuries from being dragged between the car and the pavement. His entire body carries the weight of this accident, bruised and broken. And yet… he is here. Through the quick actions of first responders, the advocacy of his family, and what we believe is the hand of God guiding every step, Elliott was airlifted late last night to a children’s trauma center in Salt Lake City—where he is now receiving the best possible care. His mother, Desiree, flew with him with nothing but a backpack—because when your child is fighting, nothing else matters. Cooper has stayed behind in Bozeman, holding things together for their other children, carrying the weight of faith, family, and uncertainty. This is where we come in. The road ahead for Elliott will be long. There may be possible surgeries, ongoing care, and a long season of healing ahead, along with unimaginable emotional and financial strain. But we serve a God who restores, who heals, who carries us when we cannot stand. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18 We are asking you—friends, family, and community—to stand in the gap for this incredible family. Pray boldly. Give generously. Share widely. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus in this moment. Every donation, every prayer, every act of kindness matters more than you know. Elliott is strong. His family is faithful. And God is not finished writing this story.
