I’m Elliot, and I’m asking for your help to relocate from Arizona to Portland, OR for my safety and well-being as a disabled, autistic, queer, and multiracial trans man. Due to anti-trans legislation and increasing violence under the current administration, I am no longer safe living in Arizona, and it has become urgent that I relocate to a sanctuary state. I’m multiply disabled and struggling to cover current living expenses, costs of taking care of my cat Simon, and costs of moving. Donations will help me pay for current rent ($1,400 a month), food, medical expenses (including HRT), and other basic needs, as well as a moving van, a deposit on an apartment, and my first few months of rent in Portland starting at the end of May.

In September of 2026, I will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Portland State University. I will not receive student loans soon enough to make ends meet during my move, and the loans will not be adequate to recoup enough money to meet my basic needs after moving. In addition, I will no longer be able to take out Grad PLUS loans as the government has recently designated counseling degrees as non-professional degrees. Because of my disabilities, I will not be able to work while in school. With your help, I can raise the funds needed to get my feet on the ground in a sanctuary state and start the next chapter of my life in a safer, more accessible city.
