Help Support Ellie Weldon – A Warrior Mum Facing Ovarian Cancer

We’re reaching out to support someone truly extraordinary — our beautiful friend and colleague, Ellie Weldon.

Ellie is a single mum to three amazing daughters and has spent years working hard in the mines to give her girls the best possible life, working 12-hour shifts, then driving between Collinsville and Bowen to be there for her daughters every chance she gets. Her strength is nothing short of inspiring. She’s tough, selfless, and endlessly devoted — the kind of woman who gives everything she has to her family, her work, and her friends without ever asking for anything in return.

Recently, Ellie received heartbreaking news: she’s been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and it has spread. Despite the pain and uncertainty, Ellie continues to keep the brave face of 'I've got this'. But the physical, emotional, and financial toll of this fight is enormous.

Ellie is now facing urgent and ongoing medical treatment, time off work, and all the associated costs that come with a serious diagnosis. As her friends, colleagues, and community, we want to help carry some of that burden — so Ellie can focus on healing and being with her girls.

We’re hoping to raise $10,000 to help with medical expenses, travel costs, and to give Ellie some breathing room during this incredibly tough time.
