We are heartbroken to share that on the afternoon of Thursday, October 2nd, on the feast of the Guardian angels, surrounded by the love of her parents and family, Eleanor Anne Hudson passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus.

Ellie had joyfully and bravely faced so much, and she inspired us all with her resilience and her spirit. We are blessed by countless joyful memories of and with her. Now she lives a life that cancer cannot touch. Her suffering is at an end while ours continues. We know she is beyond our reach, and yet she is always with us. We are so grateful for her life, to have known her, to have experienced the bright shining light that she is.

Ellie Hudson is a beautiful 8 year old girl who is gravely ill. She was diagnosed with cancer at nine months old and has battled it throughout her life. In the last weeks her condition has significantly worsened. Ellie has overcome more than many of us face in a lifetime. Everyone who knows Ellie is touched by her joy, sweetness, and positivity. In June 2018, just after her 9 month birthday, Ellie was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma in her liver, her femur, her rib, and in a tumor next to her liver. She has been in and out of cancer treatments ever since. As a result, the Hudsons are facing tremendous expenses, while also experiencing a decrease in income as they take time away from work to care for Ellie.
