Help Us Get an Autism Support Dog for Our Daughter

Hi everyone,

We are raising funds to get a life-changing Autism Support Dog for our amazing 5-year-old daughter, Ellie. She is autistic, and while she is an incredible, loving, and bright child, she faces unique challenges that can make daily life overwhelming for her.

An autism support dog can offer her the emotional stability, safety, and companionship she needs to thrive. These specially trained dogs provide deep pressure therapy during meltdowns, help with sensory overload, and provide a sense of security when out in public. Most importantly, they will become her constant companion and help her navigate situations that can be stressful or anxiety-inducing.

Unfortunately, the cost of training and obtaining a service dog is significant, and we need help covering the expenses, which can total up to $25,000 or more. This includes the cost of training the dog specifically for Ellie’s needs (which takes hundreds of hours of training), veterinary care, transport, and other related expenses. Part of the process of receiving the dog involves covering travel and hotel costs for the trainers to come to our house for a week to train me and Ellie in all the training the dog will have undergone by that point.

We’re reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers to help make this dream come true for our daughter.
