Sadly since creating this gofundme, Ellen has lost her daughter. She was already struggling with her loss of income and now needs 6k for burial expenses. After reaching out for county and tribal assistance, she is still 4k short

The last week of March, our friend Ellen experienced two small strokes and as a result requires surgery that will keep her out of work for a few weeks. Ellen is an elder from Turtle Mountain and a caring mother and grandmother. She is also a hard worker and always brings the fun to her job at Gatherings Cafe at the Minneapolis American Indian Center. We love Ellen at the café and hope people can pitch in what they can so she can focus on her recovery and doesnt need to worry about bills stacking up.
