Ellen’s Story: A Brave Fight, Then and Now

Ellen has been one of my best friends since we were just four years old. She’s the kind of friend that if you're in her corner, she is there-for anything.

In 2017, Ellen was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She faced it head-on—undergoing surgery to remove her thyroid, followed by extensive treatment. We all breathed a sigh of relief when she came through the other side, thinking the worst was behind her.

But now, years later, we’re facing something we hoped we never would again.

A new mass has been found, and Ellen is scheduled for surgery on August 14th. The emotional toll is heavy, but so is the financial one—copays, time off work, travel, treatments, and the unknowns that come with it all.

This isn’t just a medical battle,it’s a life disruption. It’s terrifying to watch someone you love walk through something so scary, especially when they’ve already endured so much.
