My name is Ella Ronci and I am a member of the Plymouth Regional High School Nordic team and Holderness Nordic Club. I am excited to have been selected to travel to Utah in March and race with the New England Junior National team! Racing at this competition will not only be a celebration of years of hard work, but will help me earn a spot on a Division I NCAA team next year. In order to fund this trip, I am looking for donors to help me on my path. The trip will cost around $4,500, and I am hoping to raise just over half of that in donations to make it a reality.

U.S. Ski and Snowboard Junior Nationals is the highest level of competition for junior racers in the U.S. It brings together the top junior skiers from across the U.S. for a week of community and competition. Each winter, the top high school and college athletes from all across New England and New York come together at four qualifying weekends to determine who will make the team. The regional U18/U20 ranking list currently consists of over 100 women competing for fifteen spots, and I have been selected to fill one of these spots!

Qualifying for Junior Nationals has been a longtime goal of mine. For the past four years, I have trained year round with the intention of qualifying for team New England. This year, my work finally paid off and I found myself on the team list for the first time ever. The excitement of making the team, however, was overshadowed by the knowledge that without financial support, it would be unrealistic for me to attend. I have put so much into this sport, and getting the opportunity to race on a team with the people I grew up racing against and being inspired by would be an indescribable honor.

My coaches suggested that I reach out to the local community of skiers and citizens to ask for help in funding this trip. Thank you so much for all the support!
