Hi everyone! My name is Ella, and I’m a first-year pre-nursing student in the University of Cincinnati Honors Program. I’ve been selected to participate in a competitive Honors Study Tour called “Democratizing Healthcare,” taking place in Germany from May 2–May 11, 2026.

This academic study tour explores how different countries design and deliver healthcare, with a focus on access, affordability, and equity. Throughout the spring semester we will take part in group discussions, research projects, and independent learning. While in Germany we will do things like tour hospitals, observe and communicate with medical students and doctors/nurses, site visits, and discussions to learn firsthand how Germany’s healthcare system compares to the United States and what lessons can be applied to improving patient care.

Any donation, no matter the amount, helps and will go directly toward my Germany study tour payment fund. This study tour would be such an amazing and surreal experience for me and I appreciate any support you may have to give.
