Our daughter Ella Hughley is a vibrant, energetic 7-year-old who fills our home with laughter, music, and creativity. She loves dancing, singing, swimming, and spending time with her siblings, always finding joy in the little things like nail art and outdoor adventures. Recently, Ella was diagnosed with a rare adrenal tumor, and her doctors believe it may be cancerous. This news has turned our world upside down, forcing us to make immediate changes to support her through this uncertain journey.
Since Ella’s diagnosis, our family’s daily life has shifted dramatically. We will be making regular trips to Atlanta, spending up to four hours per day for travel. Our three other children have had to adapt quickly, spending long days and nights in the hospital alongside Ella. During this time, our family has gone from a two-parent household to a single-parent household. My wife is staying at the hospital with Ella, while I am at home as the sole provider and caretaker for our other children. The financial strain is significant, as I work in sales and need to be present in many places, but caring for Ella and our family must come first. The time away from work is daunting, and the costs of travel, food, and bills are mounting.
Ella is scheduled for a biopsy next week to identify the tumor, and her doctors have asked us to prepare for prolonged therapy and treatment. She also faces surgery to remove her spleen and gallbladder due to her rare blood condition, Spherocytosis. We are doing everything we can to stay strong and positive for Ella, but we need help. Any support will go directly toward travel expenses, hospital bills, and food for our family during this challenging time. We are deeply grateful for the love and encouragement from friends and our community, and every donation brings us hope and relief as we fight for Ella’s health.
