Support Eliza's Recovery from Devastating Fire

Hello, my name is Emilie, and I am setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of Eliza Rohrer, my amazing and deserving best friend. She recently lost her home and all of her belongings to a devastating fire. Thankfully, she safe, but her apartment and possessions are unsalvageable.

On April 28th, 2024, a terrible fire broke out at Eliza's apartment building in Stowe, VT after a lightning strike hit the building's metal roof. Despite the quick response from the fire department, the apartment, along with her cherished possessions, family heirlooms, and products collected to start her company are completely destroyed. This is a shocking blow to Eliza, emotionally and financially.

Eliza is known for her kindness, adventurous spirit, and hardworking nature. She has always been the first to offer help to others in need, but now she has found herself in need of our support.

We are trying to raise a minimum of $20,000 to help Eliza with the costs of temporary housing, clothes, basic necessities, and eventually, help with finding her a new home. In reality, it will be upwards of $50,000 to replace everything lost, and every little bit helps, no matter how small.

All funds raised will go directly to Eliza to cover: temporary accommodations, clothing and personal items, special items needed to work in her field, finding a new apartment, and the unexpected expenses related to her displacement.
