Eliza is a beloved cafe staff member who has been an integral part of the Der Pioneer team for over five years. Though you may not have met her, she is the one who meticulously crafts your favorite Der Pioneer sandwich! Originally hailing from Ecuador, she lives in Brooklyn with her husband and young daughter. Eliza is one of the hardest workers we know and always bring so much joy to the team with her jokes and banter.

Unfortunately this month, Eliza's husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. As a workplace family, we are determined to support her through this challenging time, both emotionally and financially.

To alleviate the burden of medical expenses and provide a semblance of relief during this difficult time we have launched a GoFundMe campaign with the aim of raising $10,000. This fund will not only contribute towards medical bills but also offer a measure of stability for her and her family as they navigate through the daunting journey ahead.
