Support Elizabeth's End of Life Wishes

My name is Melissa and my husband Erik and I, along with our kids, are hoping to raise money for services for Erik's mom Elizabeth. This funny, feisty, fiercely independent lady passed away, sooner than expected, this past week from very aggressive small cell lung cancer that spread to her liver and bone. The cancer is very aggressive but also responds very well to treatment so after no small amount of thought and discussion amongst us all, along with her oncologist, she decided to try treatment to give the family at least a little bit of quality time together. We were in the process of readying our home for her to move in with us so that we could be together but we didn't get the chance to see it through. Erik's sweet and sassy mom didn't ask for much for the last chapter of her life but she deserved to have her wishes honored. This lady was so very strong and overcame so much in her 65 years. Besides kicking (a different) lung cancer's ass once, she made it through the many obstacles and detours in her life path. She was an unconventional role model to be sure, but a worthy one at the end. Her wish for this stage was that she be joined with her mother and sister so that they can all rest together.
Mom asked to be cremated, like her mom and sister, and for them to be cast together back home in Michigan where she grew up. We'd also very much like to have a small casting at Elizabeth's twin brother's final resting place in Michigan.
We knew funerals were costly but we didn't realize that the most basic services were as expensive as they are and since this happened sooner than we expected we had no time to save or prepare.
We know that financial situations are tough for just about everybody nowadays but if anyone is able to find it in their hearts to contribute any amount to helping our family fulfill the final wishes of our mom/mom-in-law/grandma, we would appreciate your kindness more than you may know.
