Elizabeth, my daughter, just turned 22 and is facing one of the toughest challenges of her life. On December 27, 2025, she was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Since then, our lives have changed dramatically. Elizabeth is receiving her care at Stanford Cancer Center, which is about a two-hour drive from our home one way. Every week, we make the long trip for her appointments. Some days, we’re able to return home after a quick visit, but every other week, we have to stay in the area for four to five days at a time so she can receive her treatments.

As her mom and main caregiver, I’ve taken time off work to be by her side through every step of this journey. Elizabeth’s treatment plan will last for at least seven months, and the costs are quickly adding up. We’re facing expenses for travel, medication, living costs, and mounting medical bills. With more money going out than coming in, it’s been overwhelming to keep up with everything while making sure Elizabeth gets the care she needs.
