Hi everyone,
My name is Elizabeth, or Liz, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support as I begin an exciting—and life-changing—chapter of my life: nursing school.
After years of dreaming, planning, and working hard to get to this point, I’ve been accepted into Southwestern Oregon Community College and am preparing to start my first term. This isn’t just about starting school—this is about starting a lifelong mission to care for others, to be there in the most vulnerable moments of people’s lives, and to give back to my community in a meaningful way.
Nursing has always been more than a profession to me. It’s a calling. I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference a compassionate nurse can make—whether it’s holding a patient’s hand during a difficult diagnosis, comforting a scared child, or supporting a grieving family. I want to be that person. I want to be someone’s calm in the storm.
Unfortunately, despite working full-time and saving as much as I can, the financial burden of nursing school is heavy—especially the first term, which includes tuition, books, scrubs, clinical supplies. With all the federal changes in the US today, financial aid has become even more inaccessible and it’s possible I won’t even get aid.
I’m humbly asking for your help to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of my first term. These funds will go directly toward:
• Tuition and registration fees
• Textbooks and required course materials
• Clinical uniforms and medical supplies
• Transportation to and from clinical sites
• Basic living expenses while I balance work and study
This is just the beginning of my journey, and every dollar truly helps. If you’re not in a position to give, I completely understand—but please consider sharing this campaign with others who might be able to help.
I promise to work hard, stay focused, and make every sacrifice worth it. With your support, I can take this first big step toward becoming the nurse I’ve always dreamed of being.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, and supporting my journey.
With gratitude,
Elizabeth Nunneley
