Support Elizabeth After Charlie's Tragic Loss

Donation protected

On May 16, 2025, the Baltimore City Fire Department lost EVD Charles Mudra, a seventeen-year veteran of the department, assigned to Truck Company 20. EVD Mudra unfortunately suffered a catastrophic medical emergency between skills assessment sessions he was participating in with his company at the BCFD training academy. Despite immediate advanced life support measures being administered on scene and transport to Johns Hopkins Hospital, EVD Mudra was declared deceased.

Charlie absolutely loved the fire department! Charlie left the FDNY EMS to come work for BCFD; he wanted to be a firefighter. That’s exactly what he did! Charlie was hardworking, funny, and one of a kind! He also loved his Elizabeth! Charlie and Liz are like two peas in a pod! Charlie has no living biological relatives, and Elizabeth's are scattered across the country and unavailable. Elizabeth has wonderful, close, kind friends who are helping as much as they can, but there is much that will be left solely to Elizabeth.
She will be restructuring her and the kids' lives without the help of an additional income. He poured all of himself into Elizabeth and the children. This is an extremely rough time for Elizabeth and her family.

We understand times are tough, but if there is any chance you could donate to help with whatever Elizabeth needs, whether it be with bills or additional funeral expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.
