Elise is a mom of 2 and has a husband, who is on disability, awaiting surgery. She is a dear friend and a valued member of our team. We are looking for support in getting their family home safe to live in.

Elise and her family purchased their property a little while ago. When purchased, the property had a tenant. The tenant stopped paying rent and Elise had to hire a lawyer to evict him. Unfortunately, due to California laws on top of hiring the lawyer, she had to pay the tenant to leave the property. Those expenses came to about $9,000. After months of negotiating (mind you the tenant wasn’t paying rent during this time) he finally left. Unfortunately, in the process, he destroyed the property making it unlivable.

Our SoCal team has volunteered many hrs, via our “move that Bus” initiative, trying to help get the home livable again. However, we have recently learned that the property needs an entire re-pipe (this is the reason we found black mold). And here we are, in need of some assistance to get it to the finish line. I’d like to ask for monetary support, if you are able to. Anything we can do to finally get this lovely family into their home will be greatly appreciated.
