On August 5th, my childhood best friend's mom, Elise Wagner, was diagnosed with a glioblastoma tumor- a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. A few days later on the 8th, Elise underwent surgery to remove most of the tumor; she is currently recovering well at home.
This news has shocked all of those who know and love her, but we are determined to support her and her family in any way we can. While insurance covers some costs, Glioblastoma treatment is both financially and emotionally overwhelming. There are many critical expenses that fall on the family’s shoulders. Elise’s family is stepping up to care for her full time, this includes her daughter, Hannah, moving back to Massachusetts to live with and support her. All of this means missed work and additional stress. Your donation helps cover basic living expenses, supplemental treatment, medical bills etc. so that she can focus on being with her family and friends and spending some quality time at her favorite place, the beach.
Whether you have shared a laugh with Elise while line dancing, spotted her bright and early at the gym, bumped into her at different church events, or exchanged a warm hello around town, chances are she’s made your day a little brighter.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lighten the load and allows her family to focus on what matters most: love, healing, and time together. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page is just as helpful. Her family and I appreciate everyone’s donation, prayers, support, and kind words during this time and we all hope to see Elise out and about very soon!
Warmly,
Katherine
