Support Elise Smith’s Recovery Journey
Donation protected
Elise Smith, known as “The Little Warrior Princess,” is a bright and resilient six-year-old from Arkansas City, Kansas, whose life changed dramatically after a devastating head-on collision. The accident left Elise with a severe injury—internal decapitation—and she has spent over 185 days in the hospital. She now relies on a tracheostomy tube to breathe and requires round-the-clock nursing care. Elise cannot speak, and she is unable to control her arms and legs on command, so she can’t color or do many of the things she once loved. Despite these challenges, Elise’s spirit remains unbroken. Her infectious laugh and boundless energy have inspired everyone around her, from hospital staff to her close-knit community.
Elise’s parents, Josh and Alexia Smith, have been by her side every step of the way. The family has faced enormous emotional and financial challenges, including selling their ranch home and downsizing to afford the specialized hospital equipment Elise will need when she is finally able to return home. The journey is far from over—Elise still needs a specialized nurse, ongoing therapy, and essential medical equipment to support her recovery and daily life.
Through it all, Elise continues to show remarkable courage. She loves cuddling with her favorite plush bunny and dreaming of adventures beyond the hospital walls. The support of friends, family, and the community has been a lifeline, but the costs of care are overwhelming. This fundraiser will help cover the expenses for nursing care, medical equipment, and therapy, giving Elise the best chance at healing and a brighter future.
