Support Elise English and their Family

Hi all, My name is Maddie and I am helping fundraise on the behalf of one of our One Medical team-member and friends, Elise English. Elise and their family need our support after facing some life changing events these past couple of months.

From Elise:

"Starting in 2022, my dad started to experience some chest pains, loss of energy and overall just feeling awful. After a visit with his doctor and testing, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. The news hit me and my family hard. After many months of intense immunotherapy and chemotherapy treatments, we got some good news: the tumor had shrunk massively and he was feeling better! It was a sigh of relief for a bit until he started to feel even more awful.

My dad was frequently coughing hard, and he could barely walk up the stairs without feeling like he ran a marathon. It was really, really scary. One day, his doctor told him to go to a local ER for some testing. For the first day or two, he wasn't feeling great but was talking, eating and mostly feeling okay. After that, things quickly got worse. After a week of hard fighting, my dad was pronounced deceased. It was the first time I've had a close family member die, and it's been hard to even begin to process what that means. Despite that, bills have been piling up, and we still have rent to pay along with trying to find a new place to live on short notice.
