Honoring Elisabeth & Supporting Her Family
It’s hard to find the right words, let alone let reality sink in. Elisabeth was an amazing person—stubborn, passionate, loving, and giving. She had a deep love for Jesus and was a light to everyone who knew her.
Cancer is awful, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. But even in the hardest moments, not everything was bad. Through her battle, we grew closer. We let down our walls, we cheered each other on, and we soaked up every moment we could together.
I always say, iron sharpens iron—Proverbs 27:17 is one of my favorite verses, so much so that 27:17 Fitness became my business name. But she was the iron sharpening me. Her strength poured into me, and I will always be grateful. She helped me grow in ways I never imagined, and she made me braver.
My heart is broken, but I also find peace knowing she is no longer in pain—she is walking with Jesus. Elisabeth, you may never have fully realized just how many lives you touched. God is so proud.
I love you more than you know, and I promise to make you proud. See you later, sweet sister.
As we navigate this heartbreaking loss, we want to honor Elisabeth’s life and support Zach and Matthew as they face this unimaginable loss. We are asking for help to cover funeral expenses and to ease the financial burden on Zach as he continues caring for their son. Any donation, big or small, will make a difference.
In addition to this fundraiser, I will be running a 100-mile race in July to continue raising funds in her honor. If you’d like to support that effort, you can find more details here: https://runsignup.com/support-elisabeths-battle-against-ovarian-cancer
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers during this time.
With gratitude,
