Support Elisa's cancer treatment

Elisa was recently diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram.

The medical team is recommending a mastectomy and reconstruction, and likely chemotherapy. Because of this, Elisa will be recovering for a number of weeks and receiving ongoing treatment.

Because of unexpected expenses (meeting a deductible for all the treatment, time taken off work not covered by disability), and because Elisa would never ask for help on her own behalf, I'm setting up this gofundme. Funds raised will go towards current and future medical bills, as well as any expenses that arise from reduced work hours. Hopefully there will be enough left over as well for Elisa to treat herself to some comfort food delivery, comfy slippers, and books.

If you know Elisa, you know that she is one of the kindest, most giving people you've ever met. She would sacrifice just about anything to help someone else, but she's not good about stopping to take care of herself sometimes.

Elisa deserves to devote all her energy to healing, so I'm asking for your help to take some of the burden from her.
