Help Eli Move After her Father Passes
Hello, my name is Eli, and I currently live with my dad, my uncle, and my aunt. My relatives are all aging and I have been acting as one of the caretakers for my 83-year-old father. Earlier this month, my father had to be rushed to the hospital and was kept there for over a week. Now that my father is coming back home, he’s on hospice, and we are all preparing for the end to be very soon.
After my father passes, my aunt and uncle plan to move in with their nephew, my cousin, and my cousin doesn’t have an extra room for me. Currently, I am helping with my father’s care and trying hard to plan where I can go when I finally have to say goodbye.
In North Carolina, a good friend has offered to be my roommate, and I have planned out how I’m going to get there, but I’m struggling to afford the move. Without the help of this friend, I am seriously looking at the possibility of becoming homeless. Staying in Florida isn’t an option for me.
I don’t know exactly when I will be forced to move. Anything you choose to donate will go towards my moving expenses, the medication I need to refill before I head north, and the living expenses I’ll need to cover to help bridge the gap between my arrival and finding work there.
Thank you for just reading this through, and even if you’re not able to donate, please share with your family and friends.
