Help Elio Fight Stage 4 Cancer and Get to Boston for Treatment
Hello everyone,
My name is Elio V., I’m 59 years old, and I’ve been battling stage 4 colorectal and liver cancer for almost four years. This is my third round of chemotherapy — my doctors have told me that if this one doesn’t work, I may only have 6–12 months left.
Right now, I’m unable to work due to my health, and I won’t receive Social Security Disability (SSDI) benefits until March or April of 2026. Until then, I’m surviving on my savings and credit cards, and both are running out.
I’m trying to raise funds to move to the Boston area, near the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where I have a better chance at finding clinical trials and new treatments that could extend my life. My local doctors have told me that there’s nothing more they can do — but Dana-Farber specializes in colon cancer and is always at the forefront of new therapies.
Unfortunately, I can’t make the 3-hour drive each way for frequent treatments. To have any real chance, I need to live closer.
I’m asking for help to raise $25,000 to cover:
• Moving expenses to Boston
• Temporary housing near Dana-Farber
• Out-of-pocket medical and living costs
If you can donate or share this campaign, it would mean the world to me. Every contribution — no matter the size — brings me one step closer to more time with my family, friends, and hopefully, a new treatment option.
If you can’t donate, please keep me in your prayers.
Thank you all so much for your time, kindness, and support.
– Elio
