Support Elijah's Medical Journey
Hi everyone, I really need your help.
Elijah is my precious 5 1/2 year old Great Dane. He has developed some life long medical issues recently including Laryngeal Paralysis and Pancreatitis.
Laryngeal Paralysis is a condition that affects the nerves that control the larynx. Essentially, the nerves to his voice box do not work properly anymore and he is at high risk for aspiration pnemonia. He is on life long medication for this including Prilosec (to reduce stomach acid build up) and Cisapride (to help pass food through his digestive track so he does not aspirate).
His Cisapride medication alone cost me over $300 a month.
1.5 months after his first diagnosis, he was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. This was most likely caused by the prilosec that he needs for his other condition. But we have no choice but to keep him on prilosec so he does apsirate. To help him with the Pancreatitis, his diet changed to a veterinary prescribed food- Hills I/D low fat.
I am looking to raise this money for Elijah because on two separate occasions, he has spent the night in a veterinary hospital for pnemonia. Both of these visit cost us between $6,000-$10,000. He is my entire world but these vet bills are beyond what I can afford.
Thank you for reading this and considering a donation or sharing his gofundme. Elijah and I are so grateful.
