Support Elijah's Heart Procedure for a Brighter Future
Donation protected
Hi, we are Stoney and Pam Pierce, the parents of Elijah "Eli" Pierce.
Eli has agreed to allow us to start this "Go Fund me". To put towards a heart procedure scheduled for Aug 14th 2025, in Dallas at Childens Health. This procedure will remove an extra electrical pathway;
known as "SVT" Superventricular tachycardia.
SVT is a condition that causes the heart to become erratic, and
excessively beat up to 300 beats per minute. This is caused when
the Normal electrical impulses of the heart are disrupted.
SVT is usually not life threatening, but can become
serious if frequent episodes are severe and prolonged.
This is the point where Eli's at. They have become more severe and
frequent.
When the episodes start, it has taken up to 5 hours, to get his heart
rate and rhythm back to normal beats. (70-90 beats per minute). This is debilitating to him, and completely wears him out. Its as if he was running for 5 hours. He has to do breathing exercises, and vagal maneuvers to get the heart back in normal rhythm. This has effected him in many areas such as school and academics,as well as participating in the physical activities such as soccer, ect.
Our Elijah is a sweet kid with a big heart. He loves his friends and family.
Loves God and his church family at First Christian. He's a typical 12yr
old. Interested in everything from soccer to rocks, to making, building or
creating something. And of course video games. One day he aspires to be a Chef, the next day he's aspiring to be a Geologist. LoL.
Just trying to live his best life.
Attached is a copy from Childrens Health. Showing the procedure
cost, the negotiated discount, and the final out of pocket expense
we parents are responsible for. Which is unattainable for our family.
Childrens Health has agreed to allow us, to pay this out, in good
faith. But we are required to pay ($15000) fifteen thousand deposit,
before August 14, towards this procedure. At which point they will go forth with said procedure.
We find it very difficult to ask for help, to the same community and
many strangers that lovingly, selflessly helped this family out
during the tornado and house fire back in March and May of 2022.
But as the parents of this vibrant young man. We'll do just as any other
parent would. Whatever it takes! Even if that means stepping outside
of our comfort zone, swallow our pride, and humbly ask for help.
We trust our Father God. He has already brought us individually and as a family, through so many trials. We know that He will continue to be faithful. We know that His Will is more important.
Yes, Eli's understandably nervous about the procedure. (as are we) But, we are eager to get this put behind him, and on to the next phase of his
life. Back to the enjoyment of simple things like running, jumping ,
moving, without the fear of his heart becoming erratic. Simply living and maintaining that normal life.
We Thank you all so much for your love. We ask for prayers. We ask for financial support if you are able.
Sincerely, Stoney and Pam Pierce
