Elijah was diagnosed with VACTERL syndrome on June 24, 2025, the day he was born. In his short life, he has already shown incredible strength and resilience, having undergone two surgeries with more on the horizon. Our family has been navigating a whirlwind of hospital stays, medical appointments, and the emotional challenges that come with caring for a newborn facing such a complex diagnosis.

Despite everything, Elijah’s joyful spirit shines through. He continues to amaze us with his ability to heal and adapt, even as he manages the daily realities of VACTERL Syndrome. The journey has brought significant financial strain, with mounting hospital bills, travel expenses for specialized care, and time away from work to be by Elijah’s side.
